Trading with 1,000 rupees

On Binomo, the one app here with terms in rupees, Rs 1,000 is below the Rs 3,000 minimum deposit, so on its own it cannot fund a real account. It still has three uses: a loss limit on a Rs 3,000 deposit, savings toward that deposit while you practise on the demo, or money for shares on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Binomo's smallest trade is Rs 300. The other apps state their minimums in dollars, so what Rs 1,000 does there depends on the rate on the day you pay.

Rs 500No1Rs 2,500 short of the deposit. The one trade exists only on a funded account.
Rs 1,000No3Rs 2,000 short. Better kept as the loss limit on a deposit (use 1 below).
Rs 3,000Yes, exactly10The floor itself, with nothing above it to absorb a losing run.
Rs 5,000Yes16Rs 2,000 above the floor. Sixteen smallest trades use Rs 4,800 and leave Rs 200.

The trade count is the sum divided by Rs 300, rounded down. Trades start only once the account holds the minimum deposit, so for Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 the count shows what the sum would cover, not what it can do today.

Binomo states its Pakistan terms in rupees: Rs 3,000 to deposit, Rs 300 for the smallest trade. SponsoredSite partner Visit partner

Use 1: a loss limit on the deposit

A loss limit is the amount you agree, before the first trade, that you are prepared to lose. Once your losses reach it, you stop, however good the next trade looks. Rs 1,000 makes a clear limit: you deposit Rs 3,000 and treat only Rs 1,000 of it as money at risk.

Binomo's help centre describes a trade like this: a right forecast returns the stake plus the percentage shown; a tie returns the stake; a wrong forecast loses it. At the smallest size, then, every losing trade costs exactly Rs 300.

A Rs 1,000 limit on the minimum deposit

  • Deposit Rs 3,000, limit Rs 1,000, every trade at Rs 300.
  • First loss: Rs 300 lost in total, balance Rs 2,700.
  • Second loss: Rs 600 lost, balance Rs 2,400.
  • Third loss: Rs 900 lost, balance Rs 2,100.
  • A fourth loss would make Rs 1,200, past the limit. So you stop after three.

Rs 2,100 stays in the account.

Write the rule as a count: three losing trades at Rs 300. Double the size to Rs 600 and the count drops to one, because a second loss would already make Rs 1,200.

Use 2: savings while you practise

If Rs 1,000 is all you have, keep it in your bank account and practise first. A demo account needs no deposit.

Binomo's help centre says the demo holds $10,000 of practice money. It allows 30 demo trades before the first deposit, then unlimited, so spend the first ones on purpose:

  1. Keep a tally in rupees on paper. Count each demo trade as one Rs 300 trade, whatever amount the demo shows.
  2. Apply the loss limit from use 1 to the tally. When the tally reaches it, stop for the day and note how close you came to breaking it.
  3. Add to the Rs 1,000 as you can. Rs 2,000 more reaches the Rs 3,000 deposit.
  4. Deposit only when the sum is complete and the tally shows you stopping where the rule says.

Practice money cannot show whether you will keep to the count when the money lost is your own, so set the limit in rupees before the first real trade.

Use 3: shares on the PSX

On the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), regular-market shares trade in lots of one share. A lot is the smallest quantity you can buy, so the price of a single share is your floor.

The sum is short: divide Rs 1,000 by the price of one share and drop the fraction. A regular-market share priced under Rs 1,000 can be bought; one priced above it cannot, not even in part. We name no share and give no prices here.

Choosing a stockbroker, and what it charges per order, is outside this page. Read the PSX notice PSX/N-327 on lot size.

Apps with dollar minimums

Pages that answer this search often say Rs 1,000 is enough on a micro account, by turning a dollar minimum into rupees without giving the rate or the date. We leave the minimums in dollars, as each app states them:

  • Expert Option: $10
  • Olymp Trade: $10
  • Quotex: $10
  • XM: $5
  • FXTM: $500

Whether Rs 1,000 covers any of these is decided on the day you pay, by the rate your bank or card applies to the dollar amount. Before you pay:

  1. Read the minimum on the app's own deposit page that day.
  2. Ask your bank, or read your card terms, which rate it uses for a dollar payment and whether it adds a charge of its own.
  3. After paying, compare the rupee amount on your statement with what you planned, and keep the receipt.

On withdrawals, Binomo's help centre says that, in rare cases, a payment provider's currency-conversion charge is paid by Binomo and returned to the account. Your own bank's conversion charge on a dollar deposit is a separate matter. What withdrawals cost on a small account ยท Every app's start values on one sheet.

What a win adds against a loss

A win does less than a loss undoes. Take 80%, the figure Binomo's help centre uses in its own example: a right forecast on a Rs 300 trade returns the stake plus Rs 240. One win and one loss together leave you Rs 60 down. The 80% is only an example; the help centre adds that the percentage varies by asset, by expiry and through the day; a trade keeps the percentage shown when it was opened. A tie returns the stake and leaves the count where it was. So a single win does not buy back a loss: after one win and one loss, the Rs 60 still counts toward the Rs 1,000 limit.

Some pages for this search are Indian pages in Indian rupees; their apps and figures do not apply in Pakistan. The full order of a small start.

Questions

Can I start trading with 1000 rupees?

On Binomo, not with real money: Rs 1,000 is a third of the Rs 3,000 floor. You can start on the demo today, which needs no deposit, and keep the Rs 1,000 as savings or as your later loss limit.

Can I start trading with 3000 rupees?

Yes: it matches Binomo's Rs 3,000 minimum deposit. Nothing sits above the floor, so set your limit before the first trade; use 1 shows where a Rs 1,000 limit stops you.

Can I start trading with 5000 rupees?

Yes, with Rs 2,000 to spare above the Rs 3,000 minimum. You need not deposit all of it: paying in only what you plan to trade keeps the rest outside the app. What a withdrawal can cost.

How to trade with 1000 rupees?

Practise on the demo first, save until you hold Rs 3,000, then deposit and trade at Rs 300 with Rs 1,000 as your loss limit. If you would rather own shares, Rs 1,000 buys regular-market PSX shares only where one share costs less than that.
